Lovely and loud with soccer on the two TVs, it’s a great spot to pop in for a quick snack washed down with sugary Cokes and Jarritos. The staff is friendly and fast and fawns over kids. I can’t wait to go back.

Speaking of tongue… (you probably have ventured to one already…) if you have an opportunity to go to a Korean bbq restaurant where they have Heu Mit Gui (I think it’s sliced tongue?) on the menu, suggest you order it! It’s thinly sliced tongue which you can grill (if the restaurant has table grills) to your preference, and then they serve with a dipping sauce of I believe sesame oil and salt. Korean bbq is served with a generous amount of sides in addition to the traditional banchan (apps) – I can’t get enough of the lettuce leaves, scallion salad, garlic cloves and a lovely miso-esque dwenjang (Korean spicy miso paste) which you then wrap up your grilled meat slices. My Korean girlfriend taught my husband and I to take the lettuce leaf, add the scallions, garlic, dwenjang paste, hot chili and the meat (and maybe some rice) and wrap up like a tiny lettuce packet… it’s so delicious.
The tongue is tender but chewy, and I enjoy it very much. The girls like what’s presented, but hubby is a bit leary. I’d love to try them in a taco one day too 🙂 Thanks for the post!
